Applications and legality of recording a phone call

Telephone calls can be very important to us, to the point where we want to record them. Many people want to be able to record phone calls. Many people set their phones to automatically record phone calls. These people will then have a record of all calls on their phones and easy access to them when needed. This can be extremely useful in a variety of situations. If we did not hear something correctly, or if we have forgotten what our interlocutor said. If we have memory problems after a night of drinking, the recording option can help us decipher what happened the night before when we wake up. It can also be useful when we want to gather evidence in a case, prove our innocence, or convict someone.

As you can see, there are numerous benefits to recording phone calls. Are there any drawbacks? There are only two of them. The first is that we run the risk of our private conversations being leaked. Someone could theoretically steal our phone and copy our data. It is capable of hacking our device and gaining remote access to it, for example, through the use of a malicious application. Normally, the record of an interview is irretrievably lost. It can be quite the opposite when it is recorded. The second disadvantage is that under Polish law, recording a phone call is not always legal.

Is it legal to record a phone call?

When is it legal to record a phone call and when is it not? According to Polish law, we commit a crime if we record a conversation without taking part in it. It makes no difference whether it is a face-to-face or phone conversation (wiretapping scandal). Of course, recording a conversation in which information is directed solely at us is not a crime. The Civil Code, on the other hand, states that simply recording and storing a conversation may violate the personal rights of our interlocutors or interlocutors. You should also be aware that, depending on the case and court, such a recording may not be accepted as evidence by the court. in relation to Remember that recording a phone call is perceived differently in different countries, so you must adapt to the one in which you are currently staying.

Methods for recording a telephone conversation

It all depends on the phone you have and whether or not you have root access to it. Without root, it may be impossible to record a phone call on some devices. Many smartphones already have an option for automatic call recording built-in, and you simply need to activate it or upload the necessary module to use it. I’ll show you a universal method, which is to use an app from the Google Play Store, in the section below. If none of these apps work for you, your phone most likely requires root in order to record calls. The methods for rooting devices may vary depending on the model, so I recommend searching on XDA or our forum, where each smartphone has its own separate department. I’m afraid I must worry you if you want to record phone calls on your iPhone. I won’t go into it here because Apple has made it nearly impossible to do on Android.

Call Recorder – ACR is the first app I recommend. A straightforward and effective application. I tried it on several phones (no root) and it always worked flawlessly. It has a plethora of configuration options, including the ability to easily search call records, set automatic deletion after x number of days, change the recorded audio formats, and specify contacts for whom calls will not be recorded. The application only allows us to record phone calls. It will not record a Messenger or Skype conversation. A PIN code can be used to protect the recordings. The application’s basic version is free.

Cube Call Recorder ACR is the second application. The application is far more powerful than the previous one. You can record calls from Skype, WhatsApp, Viber, Hangouts, Facebook, Slack, Telegram, and WeChat, among other services. We can only record specific conversations that we want to save; we are not required to record all of them. As with the predecessor, we can create a white or black contact list for recording. The application is completely free.

The final option for the undemanding – Call Recorder. A straightforward and useful application. It does exactly what it is supposed to do: it records all phone calls. There aren’t many options here; we can only see the transcript of our conversations. We will not, of course, pay for the applications.

Choose the application that best fits your needs. If the first one doesn’t work, try the next one. If none of them are able to record the conversation on your phone, it is possible that it will not be possible without root access. You can find instructions on how to root your smartphone on our forum.
